How to connect ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors to Seafile
Great news!
Starting from version 6.2 of ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors you can connect to Seafile accounts for secure document editing and collaboration. Just follow the easy instructions in our today’s blog post and learn how to do it.
Please note that you‘re supposed to have Seafile 7.1.13 Pro server instance and ONLYOFFICE Docs installed for successful connection.
Step 1. Open the seahub_setting.py file and add the following line:
ONLYOFFICE_DESKTOP_EDITORS_PORTAL_LOGIN = True
Step 2. Launch Desktop Editors and switch to the Connect to cloud section at the left side panel. Click on the Seafile icon.
Step 3. Enter your Seafile server domain name or IP address and click on Connect now.
Step 4. The Seafile sign in page will open in a new tab of the Desktop Editors interface. Specify your username or email and password and proceed to the Log in button.
Done! Now you can edit and collaborate on your Seafile documents right from ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors, share them and create new ones. If you use a commercial version, pro features will also be available.
