How the Wegweiser association ditched SharePoint to set up a private cloud with ONLYOFFICE and Nextcloud

Today we are introducing the Wegweiser association from Germany which uses ONLYOFFICE Docs integrated into Nextcloud to organize a private collaborative workspace for all its employees. Ramona Lexow, a commercial manager at Wegweiser, talks about her team’s experience.

About Wegweiser

Wegweiser is an association that integrates people with mental and physical disabilities into society. For this purpose, 35 Wegweiser employees carry out various initiatives such as day care centers, outpatient care, integration specialist service and the transition from school to work program.

The main principle of the association sounds as: “We have set ourselves the task, respectfully and in dignity, to enable people who entrust themselves to us to lead a self-determined life and participate in social activities.”

Why ONLYOFFICE

Wegweiser wasn’t satisfied with the data protection level of the previously used SharePoint and no longer wanted to deal with it. So, they set up its own cloud with Nextcloud and integrated ONLYOFFICE to ensure maximum security for their data.

Most needed features

Since the employees don’t use any special software for accounting, ONLYOFFICE primarily serves documentation purposes.
