ONLYOFFICE joins Open Source Business Alliance
We are glad to announce that ONLYOFFICE is now an official member of Open Source Business Alliance in Germany. Read this post to learn all the details.
The Open Source Business Alliance e.V. is a German non-profit that operates Europe’s biggest network of public administration institutions, small and medium-sized businesses as well as leading IT companies that use, develop and contribute to open-source software.
OSB Alliance was founded in 2011 and now comprises around 160 members. Among those are, for example, our partners Nextcloud, ownCloud, and Univention, our friends from HumHub and Kopano, and several big-name companies such as Deutsche Telekom AG or Red Hat GmbH.
The OSB Alliance supports various working groups and projects that cover a wide range of issues, from creating a secure and transparent cloud solution adapted to German businesses to improving interoperability between the ODF and the OOXML file formats.
We’ve decided to become a member of OSB Alliance because we share its values and ideas such as open development process and open collaboration, innovation in open source, Open Minds Economy and many others. We understand how important it is to combine our efforts in developing and supporting various open-source initiatives.
Galina Goduhina, Head of Sales at ONLYOFFICE:
Open source doesn’t just mean that something is free of charge. Open source means transparency and reliability. Our goal is to make secure and reliable open-source software available for everybody, so we will be happy to partner, share experience and work on new ideas together with other members of OSB Alliance to push open-source technology forward.
ONLYOFFICE member profile is available on the official OSB Alliance website (in German). Have any questions? Drop us a line below or tweet us at @only_office.
