ONLYOFFICE DocSpace plugin for WordPress v3.0: DocSpace management, streamlined group and user synchronization, and more
We’ve released a new version of the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace plugin for WordPress, now updated to version 3.0. This update focuses on managing DocSpace directly from WordPress, streamlining user and group management, and providing a cleaner, redesigned settings interface.
Logging in as DocSpace Admin
Admins can connect their DocSpace accounts in WordPress to perform administrative tasks, such as exporting users from WordPress to DocSpace, creating groups, and managing group members in DocSpace, directly from WordPress.
To manage DocSpace a user must have DocSpace Admin type.
Where to find: DocSpace Settings -> Log In as a DocSpace Admin
Disconnect button
Want to connect a different DocSpace account? Now it’s easy to disconnect the current one without affecting your WordPress setup. Disable your DocSpace anytime using the Disconnect button in the connection settings.

Group & User synchronization
Automatic WordPress user group creation. Upon connecting DocSpace, the plugin automatically creates a shared group named WordPress Users in your DocSpace — no manual setup is required.
Where to find: DocSpace -> Contacts -> Groups
The WordPress Users group is also created when the DocSpace system user logs in via the plugin.
Invitation of authorized users to the shared group. Any user who logs in via the plugin is immediately invited to the WordPress Users group, ensuring consistent permission handling across both platforms.
Other updates:
- Invitation of newly created users to the DocSpace group.
- Invitation of created through the plugin users to group WordPress Users.
- Automatic account unlinking after sign out.
Export & role configuration
Admin can easily export users to DocSpace from the main WordPress Users menu for easier access.
Where to find: Users -> Bulk actions drop-down list -> Export to DocSpace
When you export users to DocSpace, they are automatically assigned the User type (previously Power user) in DocSpace. Learn more about user types and roles in ONLYOFFICE DocSpace
Other actions to perform in the User menu:
- Unlink user DocSpace account.
- Send password reset.
