Prerequisites

To use Together AI within ONLYOFFICE, you’ll need to have the AI plugin installed. If it’s not already installed, follow these steps: Open any ONLYOFFICE editor and navigate to the Plugins tab. From there, open the Plugin Manager, locate the AI plugin, and click the Install button.

The AI plugin will be listed under the Background Plugins section in the Plugin tab. Once activated, a new AI tab will appear on the toolbar.

Connecting Together AI to the AI plugin

First, you need to obtain the API key from the Together AI website. Once you have your API key, follow these steps:

• Open the AI Settings: After installing the AI plugin, navigate to the AI tab in any ONLYOFFICE editor and click on Settings. This will open the AI configuration window, where you can manage AI models for various tasks.

• Edit AI Models: In the configuration window, locate the Edit AI Models option in the lower right corner. Click this to access the model management menu, where you can add or modify AI models.

• Add a New Model: To integrate a new model, click the Add button. This will bring up the Add AI Model menu, displaying a list of available AI providers, including Mistral, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Groq.

• Select Together AI: From the list of default providers, choose Together AI. Input your API key in the provided field and click the Update Models List.

• Select a Model: After selecting Together AI, you’ll see a list of models supported by the platform. Choose the model best suited to your needs.

Configuring the Together AI model

Once the setup is complete, you can assign the chosen model to perform specific tasks, and even assign an individual Together AI model to an individual task. This feature enables you to diversify the models used for different tasks. With Together AI, this is especially useful, as it allows you to work with a wide range of available AIs.
