Attac Deutschland uses ONLYOFFICE Docs in combination with Nextcloud to effortlessly edit office documents in project groups. Nico Wehnemann, a webmaster at Attac Deutschland, talks about their experience.

About the organization

Attac Deutschland (Attac Germany) is a non-governmental organization that campaigns for an ecological, solidarity-based and peaceful global economic order. The Attac network already has 90,000 members in 50 countries. They see themselves as part of a global movement. Attac also forms a broad social alliance in Germany.

Attac members and activists stand up for their conviction that improving people’s living conditions, promoting self-determination and democracy and protecting the environment should be the primary goals of politics and business.

Why ONLYOFFICE

As Attac Deutschland is an independent organization, it is important for them to be free from large corporations such as Microsoft, to host the office solution on their own server and to have simple configuration and installation. This is what ONLYOFFICE offers.

Nico Wehnemann explains that they have been using ONLYOFFICE for several years in smaller installations, and especially in their Nexlcoud installation. Around 250 people are currently working together on projects, events and concepts. The integration of ONLYOFFICE Docs and Nexlcoud is the most reliable system for them and the best way to edit documents, to-do’s and financial plans in real time.

With ONLYOFFICE, we have changed the way we work. We have 60 regional groups, 20 nationwide working groups and 20 full-time employees who can now all work together on projects and office documents within one cloud instance. This not only saves us time but also simplifies our internal organization. We would also recommend ONLYOFFICE to other NGOs.
