New plugin in ONLYOFFICE: use CVbuilder to easily create professional resumes in Chinese

The CVbuilder plugin, developed by a student on the Open Source Promotion Plan (OSPP), helps you quickly build resumes using a variety of Chinese CV templates. Let’s walk through the process and see how you can сreate a compelling career profile in just a few steps!

What is the CVbuilder plugin

The CVbuilder plugin offers a selection of pre-designed resume templates to suit a variety of professional needs—whether you’re applying for graduate programs, consulting positions, or tech roles.

Featuring clean, business-oriented designs and a range of color schemes, these templates align with industry-specific standards. The templates can be imported into ONLYOFFICE Document Editor in just one click, allowing you to seamlessly customize and tailor your CV to perfection.

How to use the plugin

To get started, open the ONLYOFFICE Document Editor. If you’re new to ONLYOFFICE, you can register a DocSpace account or download our desktop app for free.

Once you’re set up, follow these simple steps to create your resume:

1. Install the plugin

• Switch to the Plugins tab in the top toolbar.
• Launch the Plugin Manager and search for CVbuilder.
• Click Install to add the plugin.

2. Activate the plugin

Once installed, close the Plugins Manager. In the Plugins tab, click on the CVbuilder icon to activate it.

3. Select a template

When the plugin window opens, you’ll find a variety of CV templates. Choose a template based on industry, style, and color scheme. Use the filter to quickly narrow down your options.

4. Preview the template

Click on a template to preview it in the right-side panel. Check the layout, formatting, and overall design to ensure it suits your needs.

5. Insert and fill out the template

Once you’re satisfied with your choice, click Insert. The template will be added to the ONLYOFFICE editor, and you can customize it with your data.
