How to connect ONLYOFFICE DocSpace to Slack via Zapier
Step 1. First of all, you need to sign into your Zapier account or create a new one. It’s free to get started.
Step 2. Connect ONLYOFFICE DocSpace:
- Go to the Apps section on the left-side panel and click the + Add connection button in the upper right corner;
- Find ONLYOFFICE DocSpace;
- In the authorization window, enter the URL of your DocSpace, your email and password, and click the Yes, Continue to ONLYOFFICE DocSpace button.
Now ONLYOFFICE DocSpace is available in the list of your apps on Zapier.
Step 3. If Slack is not available in the list of your Zapier apps, add it following the instructions from the previous step.
Step 4. When both ONLYOFFICE DocSpace and Slack are added successfully, you can enable one of the Zap templates for this integration:
- Go to the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace page;
- Select Slack;
- Find the desired template and click the Details button;
- Click the Try this template button.
Step 5. Since you are using the ready-to-use template, it’s already configured but you can always change certain parameters depending on your needs. When you are ready with the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace trigger, you need to test it. If everything is OK, click Continue with selected record.
Step 6. Now it’s time to configure the Slack action. Check all the parameters and choose the required channel where you would like to receive notifications. After that, click the Test step button. If nothing goes wrong, and the test is successful, you can click the Publish button.
That’s it. Our Zap is ready, and now you will always receive notifications in your Slack channel if a new file is created in your DocSpace.
Let’s get back to our Slack channel. As you can see, there is a new notification sent by the ONLYOFFICE bot. Now we know that a new file has been created in our DocSpace, and we can easily access this file by clicking the link in the notification, which is very convenient.
