What is it all about
Throughout Europe, 700 million Europeans are represented in the Council of Europe’s 46 member states and all are encouraged to discover more languages at any age, as part of or alongside their studies.
This stems from the Council of Europe’s conviction that linguistic diversity is a tool for achieving greater intercultural understanding and a key element in the rich cultural heritage of the continent. Therefore, the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg, promotes plurilingualism in the whole of Europe.
At the Council of Europe’s initiative, the European Day of Languages (EDL) has been celebrated annually since 2001 on September 26th – together with the European Commission.
The aim of this celebration is to:
- raise awareness of the wide variety of languages in Europe;
- promote cultural heritage and linguistic diversity;
- encourage people of all ages to learn languages;
- promote translation, interpretation, other language-related professions.

Join ONLYOFFICE translator community
We fully support the initiative of the Council of Europe and also stand for the absence of cultural or language barriers. Thanks to our multinational team and community of translators, ONLYOFFICE is already localized into more than 25 languages. This way, lots of people all over the world are able to use our solutions in their mother tongues.

Participation requirements
Anyone can contribute to ONLYOFFICE by translating the interface of online and desktop editors, mobile apps, documentation, etc.
We especially welcome contributions from ONLYOFFICE users. The only requirement is having a good knowledge of English and a writing fluency in another language. If you meet this requirement, we’d love to collaborate with you as soon as possible!
Contribution rewards
We believe that any hard work should be fairly rewarded, hence there is a reward system for translators and contributors. You can get:
- a free ONLYOFFICE cloud;
- a discount for ONLYOFFICE self-hosted solutions;
- free ONLYOFFICE Home Server.
How to apply
If you would like to join the ONLYOFFICE translator community, please send us an email to documentation@onlyoffice.com specifying several details:
- the language you wish to translate to;
- the product you want to translate, or a link to the article you want to translate.
We will get back to you as soon as possible and send you all the necessary information to start translation.
P.S. We welcome translations for all languages, including those of Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, South America, etc.
