ONLYOFFICE (formerly TeamLab) keeps on its way in the world of software. It gets many improvements, learns new languages, works on new features and participates in the milestone event that will change the paradigm of TeamLab development. Jump in to read about TeamLab story in 2012.
First HTML5-based editors. TeamLab brings in the first ever HTML5-based document editor to office software. It was presented on one of the world’s biggest international IT events CeBIT 2012 in Hannover, Germany.
With the new cutting-edge technology TeamLab displays files correctly in any browser, on any operating system, even when printing or importing them.
Besides, it obtains powerful options for table processing, line spacing, multi-level numbering, text and heading styles.
Hello, People! In autumn 2012 TeamLab releases a bold update – TeamLab 7.0 with a new module, People, that helps sort out portal members up to now. This update brought the possibility to add people to several groups. See what it looked like:
Collaboration-oriented solution. In 2012 TeamLab improves its sharing features: the Documents module obtains the «Shared with me» folder, where users can easily find the documents available for them. Portal users can invite for co-editing even those who are not registered on the portal.
From now on, events and calendars can also be shared and integrated with Google Calendar, iCal and Yahoo! Calendar.
Integration and sharing become available for users of Google, Box, Dropbox and SkyDrive. TeamLab enables opening documents from these web services for editing and saving back. Hence, no additional downloads and copying needed.
Multilingualism. Priceless contribution of TeamLab users makes it completely understandable for speakers of the following languages – English, French, German, Italian, Latvian, Russian, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. Meanwhile TeamLab learns new ones – Greek, Portuguese, Finnish, etc. Translators add new localizations in the special translation system developed by our team.
Quick reminder: ONLYOFFICE portal interface is currently translated into 23 languages as of April 2020. It is almost three times more than 8 years ago!
CRM and Calendar. In 2012 TeamLab adds multiple new features in the calendar: integration with calendars of the popular third-party web services and the CRM module; compatibility with iCal format; possibility to share calendar via external link and create repeated events.
The CRM module obtains a better filter for contact search and integration with the calendar for convenient task planning. Plus, website contact form is available – potential clients are automatically added to the database.
New document editor. TeamLab enhances its documents editor with almost unlimited number of fonts, extended list of styles, faster performance, improved table processing, easy insertion of pictures, headers and footers in documents. Take a look at its interface:
Big objectives. The developers work on Gantt chart and linking tasks within a project, and expect new horizons in 2013.
