ONLYOFFICE goes East: Chinese website and better localization
Hello everyone!
We decided to enrich the experience with ONLYOFFICE in China and Chinese-speaking areas. See this post to check how we improved our website, localization, and representation.
With the help of our translator community, we added the Chinese version to the official ONLYOFFICE website.
In version 5.3 of Document Server, we have significantly improved the localization. Now there are a total of 250 languages including eight variants of Chinese: simplified, traditional, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, and Taiwan. The font engine has also been renewed and now features better support for all CJK (based on Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters) fonts.
In March, ONLYOFFICE entered a technological partnership with Seafile, a company from Beijing and a creator of same-name sharing platform. This opened us up to the new opportunities specifically in the Asian landscape. But Seafile in fact has grown far worldwide, serving over 1 million users to date including Kaspersky lab and University of Mainz.
There are ways in which you can help improve accessibility of ONLYOFFICE solutions for residents of China and Chinese-speaking users.
