ONLYOFFICE supports team Teranga at the 4L Trophy 2027

ONLYOFFICE continues to support teams taking part in the 4L Trophy, a rally that’s as much about helping others as it is about crossing deserts. For the 2027 edition, we’re backing Team Teranga, two friends who turned a shared idea into a real project.

What the 4L Trophy is really about

The 4L Trophy is Europe’s largest humanitarian rally for students and young adults aged 18 to 28. Since 1997, thousands of crews have crossed France, Spain, and Morocco in the legendary Renault 4L, covering more than 6,500 km.

At first glance, it looks like a long road trip. The 4L Trophy is as much about the journey as what comes with it. Teams cross borders, handle breakdowns, and adapt to unfamiliar conditions. It sounds simple, but it isn’t.

What really defines the rally is its humanitarian mission.

Each crew brings supplies that are handed over to the association Enfants du Désert, helping improve access to education for children in remote areas of Morocco. In practice, that means school materials and sports equipment that are directly used on the ground.

A few numbers help put things into perspective:

• 60 tons of educational materials delivered
• 20,000 meals served thanks to donations
• 11 tons of food collected for the French Red Cross
• 128 classrooms built and dozens of development projects completed

Over time, the mission has expanded. Education is still the focus, but it connects to health, living conditions, and the environment. That’s why the rally also supports food distribution with the French Red Cross and runs environmental initiatives, from waste collection to awareness campaigns, and CO₂ offset programs.

Meet Team Teranga

This team started with a conversation between two longtime friends.

Alix discovered the rally through a friend from school who took part in the 2026 edition. But her motivation goes further back.

Her grandfather, founder of the Guilde Européenne du Raid (European Raid Guild), passed on a strong sense of adventure and commitment. For her, the 4L Trophy is both a challenge and a way to contribute to something meaningful.

For me, experiencing the 4L Trophy is like “keeping a piece of sky above my head,” as Marcel Proust would say.

Luna joined thanks to Alix. At first, she was just curious. Then she wanted to be part of it.

She describes herself as someone who looks for growth in every challenge. She knows how to adapt quickly, even in unpredictable situations. Now studying marketing and working in event management, she enjoys building projects and bringing people together.

The main reason I wanted to take part in this adventure was to step outside my comfort zone and prove to myself that I could do it. Needless to say, I have absolutely no regrets. I’m an adventurer at heart and a self-proclaimed highly sensitive person who turns every challenge into an opportunity to grow.

The team is part of Teranga Trophy, an association rooted in the Wolof word “Teranga”, meaning hospitality, a key value in Senegalese culture, where Alix once lived. Teranga embodies generosity, reciprocity, and shared cultural experiences.

Preparing for the road ahead

Alix and Luna are currently in the intense preparation phase: fundraising, searching for the perfect Renault 4L, and organizing the mechanical work with local partners. They continue to look for sponsors who can help with:

• purchasing and preparing the vehicle
• insurance and administrative costs
• fuel and equipment
• humanitarian supplies
