ONLYOFFICE connector v3.2.0 for HumHub: create fillable PDF forms and edit PDF files with ease

With the release of version 3.2.0, the ONLYOFFICE and HumHub integration has become more powerful offering the ability to create fillable PDF forms and edit PDF files. Read this post to find out what’s new in the latest version of the integration app.

Create PDF forms right from the HumHub interface

Starting from version 3.2.0, you can create and edit fillable forms in PDF format right from the HumHub interface. To create one, go to the Files section in the Space menu, access the Add file(s) drop-down list and select the Create document (Text, Spreadsheet, Presentation, PDF form) option.

In the new window, choose PDF form, enter a name for your file and click the Save button.

That’s it. Now your PDF form is ready and you can edit it by adding text and fields of various types, such as text areas, images, combo boxes, drop-down lists, checkboxes, radio buttons, complex fields, email addresses, phone numbers, signatures and more.

Edit and collaborate on PDF files

Another important improvement brought by version 3.2.0 is the ability to edit PDF files. Using ONLYOFFICE PDF Editor, HumHub users now can:

• Switch between Commenting and Editing modes;
• Edit and align text in their files;
• Insert and modify shapes, tables, images, hyperlinks and TextArt objects;
• Add, rotate and delete pages;
• Leave comments and text callouts;
• Draw using the Pen and Highlighter tools;
• Co-edit PDFs in real time either in Fast or Strict mode.

To access all PDF editing features in your HumHub platform, you just need to open the required PDF file and either click Edit PDF on the top toolbar or activate the Editing mode in the upper right corner of the interface.

Other improvements

The updated ONLYOFFICE connector for HumHub also comes with the following improvements:

• Default empty templates;
• Empty file templates in Arabic, Basque, Finnish, Slovenian, Norwegian and Serbian (Cyrillic);
• Updated list of supported formats;
• New demo server address;
• JWT expire configuration.
