Sustaining momentum: ONLYOFFICE’s participation in OSPP 2024

In May 2023, we proudly participated in the Open Source Promotion Plan (OSPP) program, representing our open-source community with two innovative projects. Following the success of our involvement last year, we returned to the program in 2024 with an even greater commitment, contributing three exciting new projects.

We’re delighted to announce that the program has been successfully completed, and all the plugins developed during our participation are now available in the ONLYOFFICE marketplace.

About OSPP

The Open Source Promotion Plan is an initiative led by the Open Source Software Supply Chain Promotion Plan at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its mission is to engage students worldwide in enhancing and maintaining open-source software, fostering collaboration between participants and open-source communities globally.

ZhiPu Copilot

ZhiPu Copilot is a versatile plugin that seamlessly integrates the power of the ZhiPu AI large language model, ChatGLM.

Originally developed by Jianbo Lin as a project for the Open Source Promotion Plan program, ZhiPu Copilot has now been further enhanced by Linji Zhang, who introduced new features to improve its functionality and user experience.

The plugin offers a range of tools across different editors to streamline workflows and boost productivity. Its intuitive interface and optimized prompt design make it a powerful assistant for various editing tasks.

ID Photo Converter

This plugin allows users to easily convert personal photos into official ID photo formats within ONLYOFFICE, specifically tailored for Chinese documents. Using advanced image algorithms and neural network models, ID Photo Converter ensures that photos meet the required specifications for various Chinese official documents.

The plugin supports photos of various sizes and can transform them into formats acceptable for documents such as  passports, marriage registration, driving licenses, identity cards, social security cards, and more. Additionally, it offers the flexibility to select red, white, or blue backgrounds, catering to different document requirements.

CVbuilder

CVbuilder is a powerful and intuitive plugin for creating professional resumes directly within ONLYOFFICE. It offers customizable templates tailored to various industries and styles, allowing users to choose the format that suits them best.

With its user-friendly interface, CVbuilder enables users to preview and insert templates, personalize them with details like personal information, skills, and work experience, and easily save or export the final CV. Additional features include filtering templates by industry, style, and color themes.

As part of the Open Source Promotion Plan 2024, we remain dedicated to advancing the functionality and accessibility of ONLYOFFICE through innovative projects. Each initiative reflects our commitment to enhancing the user experience and fostering collaboration within the open-source community.

Additionally, we are excited to announce that a few months ago, we launched our own project for Chinese developers, and it is now in its final stages. This initiative has brought forth new plugins designed to meet the unique needs of the community, and we look forward to sharing updates on these developments very soon!
