How to edit non-OOXML files in Jira with ONLYOFFICE
We updated the ONLYOFFICE integration app for Jira to version 2.3.0. It is now compatible with Jira 9.9 and allows editing some types of non-OOXML files without preliminary conversion. Read this post to learn all the details.
Editing non-OOXML files
In the ONLYOFFICE – Jira integration, docx, xlsx and pptx files are opened directly for editing, all other formats require a preliminary conversion.
The latest version of the connector allows you to select txt, rtf, csv, odp, odt, and ods formats to be auto-converted and opened directly for editing as well.
To do so, adjust the newly added setting. Open the Jira administration menu by clicking the corresponding icon in the upper right corner. Choose Manage apps and find the ONLYOFFICE integration app.
Scroll down to the Common settings and check the desired file formats. Click the Save button.
All other supported non-OOXML formats are still available for viewing and require manual conversion before you can edit them.
