ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors v7.0: fillable forms, new launch mode, integration with kDrive and Liferay and much more

Our desktop app traditionally keeps up with the online version. Now it has most of the features and improvements of ONLYOFFICE Docs v7.0 and offers even more, including fillable forms, a new launch mode, integration with kDrive and Liferay, 125% and 175% scaling options, and more.

Create and fill out forms locally

The updated desktop app allows you to work with forms introduced by ONLYOFFICE Docs v7.0. Now you can create and edit them locally on Windows, Linux and macOS.

Just like in the case of the online editors, you can create forms from scratch or use an existing DOCX file, insert fillable fields of various types (for example, text, checkboxes, drop-down lists, radio buttons, etc.).

You can save the file you are working with in two ways:

• as PDF, the standard format that you can open with Adobe;
• as OFORM, the ONLYOFFICE native format that you can share with others online.

Connect your kDrive and Liferay accounts

We have extended the list of the connected clouds by adding kDrive and Liferay to the already existing options, like Nextcloud, ownCloud and Seafile. This means that now you are allowed to edit documents stored in your kDrive and Liferay storages right from the desktop app and use the features that are available in your desktop suite, including local plugins, fonts, print service and spellchecker.

Use the professional editing features

With the release of ONLYOFFICE Docs v7.0, the source code of the professional editing features is now open to the public. That means that document comparison and content controls are now available in the desktop app, too.

Launch any editor in a new window

ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors v7.0 comes with a new launch mode that makes it possible to launch any of the editors separately. When you create or open a text document, spreadsheet or presentation, the corresponding editor will open in a single window if the mode is activated.

Apply new scaling options

The updated desktop app offers new 125% and 175% interface scaling options and new canvas zoom options (up to 500%), which allows you to more comfortably work with documents, spreadsheets and presentations on modern monitors.

Welcome the new UI languages

In version 7.0, new localization options were added for Belarusian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Norwegian, Romanian, Slovene, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Lao.
