AppImage is a portable software distribution format that benefits both the users and the developers of software. The first get an extremely easy-to-manage apps, while the latter do not have to create separate apps for each distribution. Magic!
- It is portable and doesn’t require installation;
- It runs on all popular distributions;
- It doesn’t require any pro-user skills;
- It doesn’t anyhow modify the operating system;
- It consists of only one file that can be launched from everywhere, including CDs, DVDs and USB sticks.
